I am attempting to work with the Location/gmap modules but I have no node locations module to enable in my modules location section.

I also can not get any gmap to show up except in the gmap configuration screen (where it does display properly and allows me to do settings and in the /map/node and /map/user pages which each display an empty world map. but the profile "Locative information" section does not show a gmap nor does the "Location map" block.

Sounds like you have something wrong with your setup.

Try removing the entire location and gmap module directories from your site and replacing them the the latest releases.

Please reopen this issue if you are still having problems.
