I want to use Secure Pages to secure my shopping cart, etc.
However, given the power of this module to really ruin my day, I would really appreciate some answers to some basic questions (and these really, really should be in a README)
1) Can I specify different domains for the regular and secure pages (ie: www.example.com and secure.example.com)?
2) What is the format of the "Non-secure" and "Secure Base URL:"? "http://www.example.com/" and "https://secure.example.com/"?
3) Assume I totally screw up and mung access to my site, including admin/build/modules. How do I recover from this?
Much obliged, R

KAP10 commentedI am right there with you R. I need the same functionality for my site, and tried to use this. I failed miserably and totally screwed up my site. I need the same questions answered. Or on a much larger scale, instruction on installation and use.
I would like to add one more question and that is:
4) The secure page module states to make sure the Drupal installation has been configured to support SSL access. My server has enabled an SSL connection. How do I confiure my Drupal installation to support the SSL access?

MadOverlord commentedI could not find a way to make it work with different domain names, so I got a test certificate for test.animeigo.com (and my certificate issuer kindly offered to reissue my real certificate with a different domain name when I go live).
So my current answer to (1) is "don't bother trying it, use the same domain."
(2) is set both base urls to "http://www.example.com" with no trailing /
(3) is probably just remove the secure pages module entirely. I didn't manage to mung my access so I have no way of testing this.

astonvictor commentedI'm closing it because the issue was created a long time ago without any further steps.
if you still need it then raise a new one.
thanks
