To learn how to build modules for a bigger project for a client, I am creating a simple "hello world" module. Right now, I have a module that says "hello world" and can be placed in the header/footer/left/right/etc; now I need to allow the administrator to configure what message would be written in this module *without* them having to edit any code.
How can this be accomplished?
