This question may sound lame, but how do you get emails to issues on drupal.org ? I have commented on issues and posted patches as well, however I do not seem to receive a single email update when someone comments after it.
I see people add the word "subscribe" to issues, and I assume this adds it to the "My Issues" page. Is the only way to get updates of the issue you want to view the RSS feed of "My Issues"?

at the top of the issue queue you have a subscribe link which allows you to subscribe to issues.
see: http://drupal.org/project/issues/ubercart for an example of the subscribe link which allows you to subscribe to the ubercart issue queue.

Ah theres that button. How about to subscribing to an individual node though? For example this node: http://drupal.org/node/445358

If you subscribe to "own issues" in a project, I believe you are sent notification if you've started or commented on a an issue. The commenting clause may be one of the reasons you see "subscribe" as a comment in the issue queue which also puts it in their tracker.
Thanks VM, I will hope this
Thanks VM, I will hope this works when I receive an additional comment to my post.
I wonder if anything could ever be put in to have site wide subscribe to "open issues" instead of just project wise.
I also wish I would get email updates when you reply to this thread!
