Hi Guys!

Hope you've had good holidays! I'm developing a Drupal powered social-blog kind of site and its coming along very nicely! As always though, something comes up! I've been browsing the web and came across this site:

http://www.openthemagazine.com/

I really like the way they organise their content, if you scroll down you can see little blocks with, I presume, Dynamic Content in them. Like 'Small World' or 'Lounge'. I was under the impression that you can't have dynamic content in a block?

More importantly, How could I achieve something like that with the flexibility of a block?

Any advice would be much appreciated as always!

View-source.
"block-views-smallworld_rollercoaster-block"
So it's a 'view'. From views module.

Pretty normal, content that's updated from the database. What's the question?

Thanks Dan, So I can create the same sort of design/functionality with the views module? Sorry for the newbie questions, still trying to figure out drupal!

and also, how would I approach creating something like that? Any tutorials out there you've come across pointing this out?

Thanks again!

Hi dariomem - When you are creating your view, you have a choice of making page or block instances of it (you can have multiple variations of the same view, in fact). Learnbythedrop has a bunch of video tutorials specifically for Views 2 in D6. Maybe start with Drupal 6 Views Introduction.

Thanks Mndonx!

Will go through it religiously!
