I installed new XAMPP with GUI tools...Took Backup of site from one machine to another...restored the backup on another machine....only home page is appearing...and while clicking on another primary link...http://localhost/xampp/ webpage is displayed...

I have the problem too. Have you install a new full drupal install ?
