I have installed Unique Field on a website that contains duplicate fields, to avoid users from generating more duplicate nodes.
However, now it is impossible to delete a node when using the edit form of the node and hitting the delete button. After bypassing the check on unique fields, I am sent back to a edited node. The only way to delete nodes with duplicate fields is to delete them in admin/content/node

Thanks for reporting this issue. I've fixed this in the latest development version (dated 2010-January-20 or later) so that when deleting a node, the Unique Field module's validation requirements are not enforced.
