I don't have access to windows machines this weekend so I cannot personally check this out. But I just added chatbox to a new 4.7.1 site and the client says there is a clicking sound with chatbox. This was with IE. I assume it is when it refreshes the screen but not sure.
At any rate she found the sound annoying. I don't hear a thing on debian/firefox.

Can I turn the sound off? Is there supposed to be sound?
