Just to make it clear.

Can Memcached Versions higher then 1.2 be used?

Have read the release notes and there should be some performance improvements in memcached 1.4, but I am not sure about the compatibilty with PECL 2.2.5 and the drupal memcache module.

I recommend using the latest version of the module. If the latest version breaks something for you, please file a detailed bug.

thx jeremy, will try out the new 1.5 rc1 version on a dev server and some load.
