Drupal 4.6.5
Dear All,
I plan to utilise the Paypal Subscription module and the E-Commerce module but have read that there are conflicts between the two. Would I be better off creating an e-shop outside of drupal and linking it in with my Drupal navigation system?
Your advice would be very much appreciated!

The PayPal framework and subscription system is nothing to do with the e-commerce package. They are two different module collections.
If you are just wanting to handle PayPal payment subscriptions then go with the specific PayPal stuff.
if you'll like to allow payment for subscriptons by multiple methods (credit card gatewat, cheque, paypal etc.) and maybe expand your site to sell other non-subscription services, then you should probably take a look at the ecommerce package.
I'm not sure how great ecommerce subscriptons are for 4.6.x Drupal installs though. I know they are not 100% for 4.7 at the moment (or so I read).
