Hello,

The following are installed:

PHP 5.3.0
Drupal 6.15
Pathauto 6.x-1.2
Token 6.x-1.12
Transliteration 6.x-2.1

The file i18n-ascii.txt does exist in modules/pathauto, even though it's not required any more.

Site language: Russian.

The problem: no transliteration occurs. The checkbox "Trandlisterate..." exists and is checked; all the other actions (changing to lower case, filtering out/replacing non-alphanumeric characters etc) occur, butu no transliteration. The URL remain in their original (Russian, in my case) language.

Removing/reinstalling the modules does not solve the problem.

The role I use is allowed to administer URL aliases.

How could that be handled?

Thanks.

I have a similar issue over here. On the page about Building a Transliteration File I saw that

From Pathauto 6.x-2.x and onwards, the path transliteration is handled by the Transliteration module, and the i18n-ascii.txt file will thus no longer be used.

The 6.x-2.x version of Pathauto apparently is still very unstable, so for the time being we still have to build our transliteration file manually.

just surfing the forums tonight..
I don't really understand the problem completely.. but i see your using php 5.3.0, hmmm
Could it be that is the trouble.. maybe try using an older version of php, 5.2.(whatever)
http://drupal.org/requirements , see the PHP section..
"PHP 5.3 is not currently supported by Drupal 6.x"
