Description

I know there's RSS/ATOM but there are lots of *cough*InternetExplorer*cough* people who still have no clue about what a feed is and does.

It would be nice to have a notify block/node for anonymous users to subscribe to email notifications as soon as there's new content on the page. Something like the subscribe block from simplenews just not with a newsletter subscription.

We need this, too.

Would like it hardwired so that anonymous (unregistered) users can subscribe to
the notify module with the following settings:
- Notify status: enabled (obviously)
- Notify new content: enabled
- Content: Title+Teaser
- Notify new comments: disabled

Any hope? - Would also gladly take a patch, please....

Postponing this for further development. You could get around this by creating a callback to create a user account behind the scenes for this user and automatically set their notify settings. I want to get notify really solid before tackling anything like this. Patches are welcome though.

Just wondering if there are still plans to implement this feature?
