i think your Project page suggests compatibility with Panels 2 but that is no longer available. Although it does look like a CTools integration issue.

a little digging...

error above occurs when ctools is trying to load the view: "apk_ur_friends_gallery" which does not exist.

ok, i think really a bug in ctools since it shouldn't croke just because a view is missing.

Yeah, it should be able to handle it if the view isn't available. It handled it last time I checked so maybe something recently changed. You said you filed an issue there so marking this dupe.
