I think it is a very useful module to make users register.
But there is one thing which devaluates it.
An average user will not understand what accesstaxonomy_vtn and other similar staff is. He will not understand what the value of those options is.
If there is a possibility to translate these specific terms to "human" language and demonstrate it to users it will add much more value.

verta commentedI find the concept of this module appealing, but the interface needs work before I would try it out. I don't need to show anon users the list of the all permissions on my site, that's a security issue, but some of them might be worth showing. I don't have time to make hacks to modules (commenting out or adding PHP code) because the first time I update the module it's gone. If it's not in the UI, I can't use it.

Abeaudrian commentedI do not understand the concerns as you can type your own list of alerts so to speak for users to see, and not show the generic list of permissions. I just installed it and typed my own list of items users can do after they register, and I deselected the default settings.
