Issue Summary
I think it is a very useful module to make users register.
But there is one thing which devaluates it.
An average user will not understand what accesstaxonomy_vtn and other similar staff is. He will not understand what the value of those options is.
If there is a possibility to translate these specific terms to "human" language and demonstrate it to users it will add much more value.

I find the concept of this module appealing, but the interface needs work before I would try it out. I don't need to show anon users the list of the all permissions on my site, that's a security issue, but some of them might be worth showing. I don't have time to make hacks to modules (commenting out or adding PHP code) because the first time I update the module it's gone. If it's not in the UI, I can't use it.

I do not understand the concerns as you can type your own list of alerts so to speak for users to see, and not show the generic list of permissions. I just installed it and typed my own list of items users can do after they register, and I deselected the default settings.
