Hi all,

I have been reading topics only about drupal in combination with a second server, splitting drupal application and database/files on different servers etc etc. However, I did not find the information needed to complete my puzzle.

what I want is, using my local server at home to provide my mp3 and movie collection through drupal which is running in a datacenter somewhere. Is that possible?? if so how? if not why not what is so difficult? Is it not just pointing drupal to another server for info?

Secondly, if the above is possible. Is it then also possible to create an mp3 playlist online or small flash videos online that you can hear and see online in the browser?

lastly, if the above is all possible it would be great to have a home server which contains all my photo's, music and movies which can easily being shared online without doing anything. For example, each map consisting of pictures on a certain directory on my home server will be seen by drupal as an album. In addition, drupal will automatically show the pictures in that folder online and decreases the image size at the same time so that the original pictures on the home server are displayed on internet as being a % of the original. Several users should then have the possibility to download the original photo from the internet by clicking a link in drupal after which drupal will get the original from the server and provide it for download to the user.

Hopefully someone is able to point me to the right direction.
