this happens because either www.weatherroom.com is down, or because the module was cached befored it was configured with a valid regional/zip code. technically, it's not really a bug, there's just no default value and the module can't retrieve weather without the regional code -- so it sets the "not available" flag and won't get attempt to retrieve the weather again for another 30 minutes. i'm attending to this in the next CVS version.

hmmm. ok, i just checked weatherroom.com and it seems that extended forecasts for your area are unavailable:
http://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/CYVR
confirmed by viewing this page, as well:
http://boris.bmannconsulting.com/weather/feed

There's also a notice at weatherroom.com regarding recent technical difficulties, so there's a chance the issue is related.

boris, i noticed that you're in vancouver. try using vancouver.bc.ca as your regional code on the weather settings page.

this page appears to have extended forecast info for vancouver:
http://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/vancouver.bc.ca

Yup, pasting in "vancouver.bc.ca" instead of a 4-letter code makes it work. Extended forecast is now visible.

Except that all the temperatures show as negative. I'm pretty sure they should either all be positive, or something else is screwed up. It may very well be something weather specific. I'll keep track of this and re-open if it continues to be a problem.
