I successfully installed drupal 6 and acquaria. I put the settings file back to 444. When I went to enable a suite of modules, the site went blank and has stayed blank. I went back to the settings file and changed it back to 777. I uploaded my backup. The site is still blank.

Any thoughts on how i can trouble shoot this? I've been trying to figure out how to access my php error logs and haven't been able to figure that out.

If you're using a hosting service, ask your provider how to see the server error log.

It's likely that you're simply out of memory. Remove (delete) the contributed modules. If the site comes back, restore them, one at a time.
