Best (simplest) flv player module to integrate with views grid view

I've spent hours on this and have tried a few modules and have finally decided to consult the forums. I have a few videos that are already in flv format. I just need a module that will A. play them and B. create a thumbnail for each video. I think want to put these thumbnails into a grid view to sort by date or something similar. Does anyone know of a good module for this? It looks like a few are capable but I have had issues with modules not capable of creating a thumbnail unless the video is encoded using ffmpg which I do not have access to.
