Description

I just had a tester ask me how to "unhide" the text, since "hide" sounds like "click this to get it out of my face but don't remove it altogether," unlike the behaviour.

"hide" should probably be called "don't show me this again" or else maybe put the help text in a collapsed if the user's "hide" option is set to true?

I'm willing to try "don't show me this again" or something like that. But the way you describe the behavior " get it out of my face but don't remove it altogether" is exactly what is happening. It is getting it out of your face, but not the faces of any other users.

Oh, right. I realize that.

But what I mean is that there's no way for an individual user who has hidden the box to say, "Uh, wait. What did that annoying box say again?" ;)

What used to be 'hide' is now 'do not show again'. ANd the mouseover text is 'Do not display this message again'.

Ah now I see what you're getting at. Yes, there is no way to unhide. It's not hard to change the database to unhide, but I'm not sure what the UI should be for that. I'm not into the collapsed idea, because when I hide a helptip I don't even want the block to appear. Let me know if you have any ingenious ideas.

Nah, not much. This should do fine I think. Thanks! :)
