As title - it would be great if we could embed a youtube playlist within a field. (Themeable would be a nice to have.)

alex ua commentedYou can. Please try the Media Youtube 6.x-1.1 module with emfield 6.x-2.x-dev or the latest dev version of 6.x-1.x

c-c-m commentedI have updated my module version from 6.x-1.24 to 6.x-2.1 (and made sure to install and configure media_youtube module) and the playlist that used to work stopped working, while standard youtube videos show up.
It seems something has to be fixed.

aaron commentedYou need to use the Media: YouTube module with emfield version 6.x-2.1.

c-c-m commentedI'm afraid that's what I did, and single youtube videos work fine but not playlists.

alex ua commentedI'm moving this to Media: YouTube, where the problem actual resides at this point. I can confirm that the code to enable playlist support was never added to Media: YouTube (from emfield 6.x-1.x-dev version of youtube.inc). Jody's patch in comment 18 of #177207: Embedding YouTube Playlists will need to be ported to the new YouTube provider file in order to enable playlist support. It would also be good to check the other commits against that file- I'm not sure what version was brought over though...

designguru commentedDid this get ported properly? Can anyone confirm that playlist support is working? I'm using the latest dev versions of both modules (incl the Oct 10th version of media_youtube) and still no luck using URLs such as:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=8DC5B92632D5898E
OR
http://www.youtube.com/p/8DC5B92632D5898E
Any help would be much appreciated!!!!

c-c-m commentedMe too.
I'd like to know if there's any progress on this, since the problem persists.

melodramatic commentedHello, I am trying to build a news aggregated website using rss feeds that shows the title, teaser text and teaser image. I can't seem to get it to show the teaser image along with the news story. Does the embedded media field do this? If so what would I need to do? I am new to drupal. Are there any other modules that I need to make this happen. Like if there is a a story on the president and also a picture of him along with the story, how can I get the image along with the story? Sort of like savannahnow.com or the huffingtonpost.com
