The version numbers of these 2 modules are quite confusing, and I'm wondering if someone can recommend which is a safe upgrade to bring my MN installation up to date, without having to be on the bleeding edge.

Current: Libraries API 6.x-1.x-dev (2009-Jun-22)
Recommended version: 6.x-1.0-alpha1 (2009-Dec-30)
Development version: 6.x-1.x-dev (2009-Dec-31)

Current OpenLayers 6.x-0.1-alpha6
Also available: 6.x-2.x-dev (2009-Dec-18)
Also available: 6.x-1.0-beta4 (2009-Dec-27)

The recommended versions are the one contained in Beta 6 ;-)

We are currently working on a Beta 7 release containing a new release of OpenLayers 2 (still in the works). Libraries remains alpha1.
