Zen Sub Theme image not showing on nodes that contain a view

Hello – I have built a Zen sub-theme in Drupal 6.14 and I’m having a problem getting an image to show up on nodes that use Views. The image is the bottom portion of the content background image, so its path is located in the page.tpl.php file. Below you will see my sub zen page.tpl.php file where I have added a new div with the path to the image (see div called "bottomImage"). After making some adjustments to the css, this seems to be working fine on most of our website. However, I have noticed that the only nodes that the image is not showing up are on the nodes that use custom views we have built. So I thought the simple solution was for me to add the new div code to the custom view template overrides. But since the view still uses parts of the page.tpl.php file to build the rest of the node (such as the header, footer, etc..) there is nowhere for me to add the code. The view custom tpls overrides only cover the areas inside the view.

So I believe my problem is that for some reason the nodes that use views are not picking up all of the information from the page.tpl.php file, but I’m not really sure if it’s that or something else entirely. I have also tried flushing the theme registry which made no difference. Please let me know if any more clarification is needed or if I need to post more code. Any help on where to look next would be GREATLY appreciated!
