Hi there,
I cannot see the edit tab on the node page and I have to go the 'content' page and edit it from there.
Do you have any idea how this happens and what should I try to do to make the tabs appear, like on any other theme?

Attached is an image just to show that there is nothing there. This happens on all browsers for me.

Here is a sreenshot of the demo, I really don't know how it disappeard for you!

May be you have modified something in the theme..?

There's some solutions you can try below:

- Check if the Input Format filter used with that node is available for the user you want to edit node. For example, the node is composed by Full HTML but the user only have access to HTML filter then Edit tab will be disappeared.

- If you use more than 1 language, please check all the languages in that user profile. Then you'll see the edit tab.

Looks like permission setting...check your user permissions.
