I get the following text in a popup when I try to post a status update. The updates don't appear. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Something that executes during the JavaScript callback is causing the callback to stop executing and redirect. It could be practically anything that loads during a bootstrap, meaning it could easily have nothing to do with FBSS. I would try reinstalling FBSS first (completely delete the module from your modules folder, download a fresh copy, enable, run update.php). Also check your error logs. Then try turning off AHAH updating in the advanced settings. To properly debug this further I would go through facebook_status_box_submit() and facebook_status_save_js() and add in dsm()s (a Devel module function) to see if any data looked weird. Unfortunately that's not something I can do for you, so unless you can dig into the code a bit yourself you may be stuck.

Hey, Ice Cream.

I've got a developer on my team working on this tomorrow and Monday. When we get to the bottom of it, we'll post our findings here. I agree this sounds like some sort of environmental issue vs. a FB Status issue. Still, it'd be good to know what's causing the breakdown.

Alright, I'll be interested to see what was happening and of course if the problem does turn out to be related to FBSS I will look into it.

So far we've seen the popup does not in fact occur when the textarea is used for FBSS instead of the text field.

Even if Views Slideshow is the culprit, it is probably fixed in the latest dev because I changed the way views are updated when a status is submitted.

I'm guessing you have Javascript Aggregation enabled in /admin/settings/performance?

Turn this off and see if your problem goes away.

I have the same problem...but I really need to use Javascript Aggregation so I'm not sure what to do!

This is not caused by FBSS. It's caused by a JavaScript error from another module on the page. Use a tool like the Console tab of the Firebug add-on in Firefox to see what your errors are and help debug how to fix them.

Any page that loads with JavaScript errors normally will probably cause this popup to occur when a status update is submitted on that page.

I was mistaken. This has nothing to do with the Javascript optimizer. After spending about 10 hours today trying to figure this out, I finally solved the problem.

It seems that Cacherouter (which I had just installed a few days ago) doesn't play well with FBSS possibly because of AHAH? Removing the Cacherouter code from settings.php (and you might as well disable the module too) seemed to take care of this problem.

You are having this problem because another module you're using has a bug in it. It is your responsibility to figure out which module is causing the problem.

Hi, I spent quite long hours trying to fix a very similar bug.

The problem was likely to be CRON clearing my the form cache every 5 minutes (CRON every 5min, cache validity of 1min in admin/settings/performance ).
Put 30min as cache validity, and my AHAH seems to work well now.

Now waiting for my community feedback to see if some people get the huge popup error some time still ..
