Dash Playlist problem with i18n multi-lingual

Project:Dash Media Player
Version:6.x-1.7
Component:Miscellaneous
Category:support request
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:active

Issue Summary

Dash player is great, I have it running on a number of sites. However I have just been installing it on a multi-lingual site and I cannot get the playlist to work. If I call a single piece of video into a node with a direct link to the file location the player works fine, which tells me the player itself is setup correctly, but when I try to call the playlist view I just get the spinning wheel in the player.

I have checked and double checked my view setup against other sites that work and it appears to be setup correctly. I am not completely sure but I think my problem is related to Drupal putting the /en/ into the URL.

When I preview my view setup it displays the nodes that it should (just like other working versions that I have) but the player just doesn't seem to find the view to load it.

I have read some posts related to other media players that have had the same issue with i18n module, but I cannot find any reference to Dash player with i18n.

Running Drupal 6.13
Latest version of Dash Player, AMFPHP & Services

Can anyone please advise if you have Dash running with i18n, or let me know if I need to provide more info about my installation.

Hey matsta - have you solved this one?

I'm getting ready to implement Dash on an i18n site... will probably hit this issue soon ;)

No, havent found a solution. Although I haven't actively been working on this for a while.

The dash player works fine when calling videos into individual nodes, it's just the playlist view of the player that has a problem with i18n. So far I have been able to meet my requirements with the individual videos in nodes, but the playlist view is still going to be required at some stage soon.

It may also depend on what sort of configuration you use for i18n, the issue seems to arise for me due to having different prefixes for the countries in the URL.

Sorry, dont have any new info at this stage.. let me know if you decide to go that way anyway, would be good to troubleshoot with someone else.

You are referring to the 'Internationalization' module specifically, right? We actually have a site under development that is using this module and we aren't having any issues with the DMP we have installed. If you would like to give more specific information about the installation maybe we can come up with a solution.

Thanks scott. Very interesting.

Are you using different prefixes for languages with your internationalization config? (eg. /eng )

If yes, are you using the dashplayer in a playlist view.

The DMP works fine calling an individual video, but I cannot get it to work with a playlist view? (Which I have working on other sites that dont have internationalization)

I'll look into it and respond back as soon as I can.
