On some pages the theme favicon is not shown but instead the default misc/favicon.ico.
After some debugging I found out that theme_get_setting() is called before the theme has been initialized. I dont know why this happens on some pages (page content type).

I have tested this with a custom theme and the core theme marvin.

This patch does not apply:

error: theme-new.inc: No such file or directory

It also has trailing whitespace issues and comments need to end with punctuation like a period '.'

Since it has been 3,5 years since the the issue was created, I really do not want to digg in again. AFAIC, the issue can be closed.

yeah, I've been trying to get closure on some old NR issues. I appreciate that you might not want to follow this up after so long.
