Alison Rose Designs just launched their new website: http://www.arosedesigns.com/

Implemented in Drupal 4.7 by yours trouly :), the site features some custom programming, the hardest theme I had to make for Drupal and a cool integration of Defusion.org's image cropper in the admin as image module's thumbnail generation wasn't enough.

Hope you guys like it.

It's not a standard gallery. Design projects are cck and art collections are grouped in a taxonomy. The "gallery" scripts are custom made and use that info to display it.

Some suggestions. A favicon.ico now that Firefox is becoming more common and IE7 will have it help with not only bookmarks but tabbed browsing. The other suggestion. Those arrows that control the images (left/right) are small and hard to see. I went through the site three times before I realized that there was more non-standard navigation. Non-standard navigation is not bad but it must be obvious and the arrows may be a little to subtle.

Also, is the page loading an effect? bummer about the blogspot :)

Again, very nice site. It's giving me some ideas for an approach to a friends wedding photo site.

Thanks. I will add a favico.

About the navigation: it was their choice, and they wanted to keep the website as close as their old one, based on flash. So I can't really change anything, even if I'd replace the dots with page numbers. Or write Pages: there.

Blogspot is from the old site too. Maybe in the future it will be on site using Drupal's blog system.

The effect on the front page is a DynamicDrive javascript.

Really nice work.
Could you give us an idea on how to add the image cropper in Drupal please ?
It would be really helpfull, do you plan to release a module or something ?

Thanks a lot.
