I am using debian etch, and postgresql 8.1. I followed the instructions in INSTALL.pgsql.txt. Creating the user, and the database, went smoothly. I got the "CREATE DATABASE" notice, just as I should have.
But, when went to install drupal 6.15, I got the following error:
"Failed to connect to your MySQL database server. MySQL reports the following message: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)."
