The htmlarea browser detection code seems to be under the mistaken impression that htmlarea works with K-Meleon. It loads the htmlarea, but does not allow typing.

Gordon: I visited your htmlarea demo (http://www.heydon.com.au/htmlareademo) at 6:15 PM GMT (roughly) from 205.215.88.6, so you should be able to determine the browser identification from that (as mentioned in the e-mail thread about Safari)

I have fixed this so that it wouldn't start up, but for a gecko based browser that seem to have cocked something up.

Really need to put in a bug report to k-meleon and get them to fix it.

I have actually changed my mind on this browser. I will not put in fixes for every bug ridden browser that someone puts out. This browser is based upon mozilla 1.5 which does currently work without problems.I have raised an issue on the k-meleon forums as rasing a bug was too hard, and if you want it fixed please talk to the developers of k-meleon.

I am quite willing to help them but they can lead the fix from there end.

Just an update: It seems to work properly with the latest unofficial K-Meleon build (built March 11th), so the issue might be fixed in the next release. If you're interested, you can follow the forum thread or bug report on the K-Meleon site.
