jcmc commentedHello fluxrider,
nothing to do with image paths. The Lightbox2 module was never before supported by Gallery Assist Lightboxes.
Casualy othe people having the same question/issue and in the answer I explain about.
Read http://drupal.org/node/656878#comment-2459764 .
This week I release a new version of GA-LB with the support for LB2.
Regards
Juan Carlos

fluxrider commentedI read that post. I've read all the posts , anything to do with this amazing body of work. I didn't make the connection . I did uninstall the LB2 module before I did the gallery_assist thing so I guess the path comes from there. Re installing the LB2 module , there are two missing close images , the path to the lb2 module is images/closelabel.gif so it appears the GA has added to that .
I'm documsenting every step I take here getting GA up and running so I hope to have something to give back eventually.
Have a number of issues , but I suspect they are a result of bad paths , so look forward to the release GA - LB . Thats what I am putting the missing blokes[edit- Blocks I mean hehehehe, I know why the blokes are missing , hummmm, bad paths as well] down to at this stage ( though I admit to a strong feeling of taxonomy access issues ) .
You haven't had much sleep for a while I think Juan so from the sleepless in OZ , thanks heaps.
Best to you
Kate

jcmc commentedI just hope there are no insults or ridicule criticism in your words and when yes It would be very sad.
Unfortunately is my english not good enough and not enough to understand your letter.
I help if I can and nobody is forced to use this module. there are other good gallery modules in drupal.

Juan Carlos

fluxrider commentedNo Juan , no insults or criticisms meant at all. Sincere apology for not being clear and precise. I have only admiration for your work .
I will try and tone down my local australian manner.

jcmc commentedHello fluxrider many thanks,
can you help me and test the support from Gallery Assist Lightboxes for the LB2 before I make the release???. I would be very gratefull if yes.
I can't install the lightbox2 module in my test sites.
Here the new versions.
It is better you update the GA to.

Juan Carlos

fluxrider commentedMy pleasure to test . Doing that first thing in the morning . Its 1 in the morning here . You can see a working gallery_assist at the following site ( only two galleries open to public viewing ) . I'll do the test there. Thank you for doing these . I'll report back as soon as I can.

The open for viewing albums are their
EDIT - FWIW , I am testing on both windows and mac using browsers firefox , safari, opera, chrome , ie7 .
fluxrider commentedI have the attachments in #5 running there now.
The comments for items can be seen here
http://www.frecksescape.com.au/node/367/26
User 1 has no problems adding comments , and as you can see anonymous users can view the comments and image , and can see the block for member albums . Authenticated users however can not see gallery_assist block at all , and though they can access the url to a album by going to it directly and see the add comment area when posting a comment ( ie saving the comment ) the following error is given -
An HTTP error 403 occurred.
/gallery_assist_comments/save/js/26
I've set up a clean local site now and will test step by step adding gallery_assist modules one at a time.
fluxrider commentedI've loaded the gallery_assist attachment in #5 to a clean site on localhost using Acquia Marina theme and everything works well . The add comment to item works very well. All blocks are showing except the galleryblock block ( look into that in a minute.
No other gallery_assist helper modules are loaded yet. I'm going to add the helper modules one by one , first the attached lightbox in #5
The format issues I had using the salamaner skins theme are not happening in Acquia Marina. Have to look into that as well.
I'm using a mac and safari browser for this and the Acquia DrupalStack .
Good news is comments on individual items works well and is easy . Kudos for this feature . NOTE- dont use float options anywhere and make sure the add comment is excluded from fckeditor ( pity about that )
Issues -
1/The blocks continue to be a problem. 'My galleries' shows fine all users. 'galleries' do not show for authenticated users, not all galleries. 'Gallery block' block does not show at all for any users.
2/fck editor messes up the comment add so the element needs to be excluded from the fckeditor - then works fine
3/The settings section for each album says do not use untill version 1.7.2 is released and that it has been disabled. I still can use it , but the float options mess up the formatting badly . I do use it though to set alignement left and to turn off any float options . The global settings can be changed , but that has no effect on exciting albums. They needed to be done manually using the settings section for each album previously created.
Summary - Gallery_assist works well except for blocks .
Wish list -
Rebuild thumbs and previews option
Flush cache option
Views.
I'm giving myself three days now to look into why the blocks are missing and then I'll add lightbox from #5

fluxrider commentedJuan
I have gallery assist and lightboxes from #5 loaded and working on that working site now and it works brilliantly. I've tested it in a number of browsers and both windows and mac and no issues. It works well even with the lightbox2 module enabled and all my navigation works.
I've worked around the blocks issues by turning them off , and creating a view for member albums which you can see in the 'member albums' link.
This is a huge advancement , very well done. Lightbox2 works ; comments on items and albums ; You should commit the attachments in #5 in my opinion. Top job.
Thank you so much for all your work.
ps I'll be happy to test anything for you :)
