In addition to the issue queue and the documentation book pages, I would appreciate if we had a wiki area, where solutions and arguments could be summarized and cross-linked.

The Wiki would be different from the documentation pages, in that
- Every member can edit.
- It's not about existing functionality, but about planned, suggested or rejected features.

Purpose:
- Reduce the time wasted on reading irrelevant or outdated issue posts and comments.
- Reduce the time wasted on repeating the same arguments, only because someone didn't bother to read.

-------

An alternative could be if we had a possibility to rate or highlight certain issue comments as "summary comments", so in a quick read-up you would only have to read these highlighted comments. This could be done with a multi-dimensional rating system (other dimensions would be "recommended patch", "original/new idea"), and should rather go into a separate issue.

-----

Webmasters: I have no idea what's the correct category for this kind of request. Please put it where you see fit.

Hm, I don't see many links from existing issue comments to community initiative pages. Maybe it doesn't do the job?

Here's a new issue to follow the alternative approach:
#682254: Allow multi-dimensional rating of issue comments
