Are there any examples of the phpfreechat module in use?

I still can't get the phpfreechat module to work, and I'm groping for anything I might be doing wrong. If I saw an example, maybe I could notice that I'm, say, not adding a variable in my theme or whatnot.

I can't believe there haven't been any responses to your question. You're welcome to look at my phpFreeChat-enabled chatroom, but I'm using 4.7.3 so I don't know if it technically helps you in any way. I do want to reply to your post, though.

ps. The only difficult part of the install was figuring out why /files/phpfreechat/public/xajax_js/xajax.js wasn't available to the browser (xajax.js is the script that does all the heavy lifting). It turns out that /files/phpfreechat needed to be 'chmod'ed to 775.

I have the same problem that you with xajax.js but I can´t solve it. What version of phpfreechat are you running? and drupal?. My phpfreechat module is installed in /modules/phpfreechat and my phpfreechat 1.04beta is in /modules/phpfreechat/phpfreechat.

The paths you're using sound OK. I'm using phpFreeChat 1.0b4 as well, and I have the settings pretty much as they were when I installed it. When I change certain things, though, any node with a chatroom attached to it starts spitting out XML errors and the chatroom doesn't load. If you've changed any settings, I suggest you roll back to the factory default ones.

Settings that come to mind which have hosed my copy of phpFreeChat are (1) let node specify title and channel, and (2) turning the clock off.

I wish I could help more, but my knowledge of phpFreeChat (and the Drupal module) aren't exceedingly powerful. If this post doesn't help, please keep asking.

I have latest build if Drupal and finally got it working after chmodding the xajax folder to 775. Check it out at the url below... would be happy to help out if you're having problems.... btw, I grabbed 1.0beta4 I first tried beta 6, but went back to beta 4 after i couldn't get 6 to work..... but 6 may have been hosed due to the same chmod folder issue....

phpFreeChat script is not found.
Before you can use this module you must download the script from http://www.phpfreechat.net/ and extract in to the /modules/phpfreechat/phpfreechat directory on your web server.
See INSTALL.txt for more details.

gettting this error..pls help me install the phpfreechat properly..

i dont knwo what is CHMOD..so help me out..
i use version 5.1 drupal with 1.8 beta of phpfreechat..

It looks like you just don't understand what this error means!
It's simply ask you to download script from address, unpack it and put all files into directory /modules/phpfreechat/phpfreechat. If 2nd directory (phpfreechat) do not exist create it, mean while modules files must be left into 1st directory (phpfreechat). And by the way use new version of chat, I guess 1.0.9 beta now
