So I've now got our test site up using janode for external links. It is working wonderfully (thanks for all the help)!
I met with the client yesterday and was giving a tutorial on how to add content to the site. One thing they couldn't seem to understand was why, when they try to create an external link, they had to choose to create a "Jan's node". And to be honest I couldn't explain it to them.
So maybe I'm just not saavy enough to understand the meaning of "Jan", but I am wondering why the module isn't named after something more intuitive like extlinks etc.? My request is to have the module name changed to a logical name. If that isn't possible then would there be a way that I could use the language options and change the displayed name somehow?
Thanks!

AjK commentedHi there,
yeah, another person was "not too happy" about the name. It comes from a "hangover" where it replaced something with the same name on a client site.
Anyhow, the previous person posted a patch that changed the entire module. That's not going to happen as the module is in CVS with that name.
However, attached to this is a patch that allows you to change the "display name" using the janode settings page. Note, if you ar eusing caching the name won't appear until you expire the cache (see the devel.module for how to expire the cache or just "delete from cache;" on your database).
If you post back that you like this patch, I will commit it to CVS HEAD.

sokrplare commentedThanks so much...you're my hero :)
And now my clients don't need to lay awake at night wondering "Why is it called a Jan's node?" ;)
