If you like the module and want to motivate people working on it, just drop a line here.
It is always interesting to see whether people use the module and thats usualy motivating keeping up the work.
Thanks in advance!

Flying Drupalist commentedHehe, I'm luvin it.
Thank you very much.
ManyNancy commentedThis is a great module, please keep up the good work.
asb commentedI like this module, too.
It has a pretty user interface, if you can spare the additional screen space.
In combination with the 'extractor' module, it can give impressive results.
Thank you!

chawl commentedI quite like it, but will love when JSON interface would be in place, and Extractor could recognise term cases and synonyms.
SpikeX commentedThis module is much better than the alternatives out there, that's for sure.
whatsnewsisyphus commentedThis is great, keep up the good work. I'm hoping to see fields to parse and tagging on node creation options soon. Do you accept donations?
EugenMayer commentedYes i accept donations. Founding some of the work can help me investing more time into it, so getting things done more early. Right now iam concentrating on Bugfixing rather then features, as my time is limitted.
I will see how to create such a "fund" button on the project pages.
Thanks to all, iam very excited that you like it!

I'm not certain about what is (or will be available) in 6.x-2.2, but we've commissioned Eugen to scan the synonyms for tagging, and have what I think is a "not-for-full-release" version which does scan for synonyms.
Also commissioned Eugen to set up scanning of CCK fields for terms/synonyms, and that is working, too.
Any news on releasing these new features to the world, Eugen?
ManyNancy commentedMuch thanks siliconmeadow, and Eugen as well.
EugenMayer commentedsiliconmeadow: Yes, there will be a new release when we have a urgent bug or iam finished with that Ajax interface. Currently iam very much working on the other modules, but i think we get it out the next month.

sirkitree commentedHaving worked on something similar last year, I find this module AMAZING! Thank you so much for releasing it!
Sera commentedThank you very much for all your work. This module is awesome!
tignux commentedGreat job
Comment #14
dstolI figured I wouldn't open up a whole new issue to ask this question...
I don't know if you did this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyvE6Lwsfxs
But if you did, what are you using to get the fieldsets into local tasks on node edit pages?
digi24 commentedThis module has proven quite stable over the time, I am just a bit sad that #685008: Create pluging to support hierarchical terms and not taggin vocabularies (based on the module taxiselect) was cancelled. I would have enjoyed the benefits of this efficient module, hierarchies and a suggestions API.
Hierarchical select module does a good job regarding its function scope, but it seems already to heavy to further extend its tasks.
thijsboeree commentedReally nice module!!
I would love to see, an auto update while typing in the title or in the body! And that also the synonyms where captured and used for term data!
Is there any news about a new release and it's features?
Best regards!
Thijs

foxfabi commentedfetching content with rss from different sources we loose out tags.
with extractor and tagging we can restore it. thx.
AlanO commentedCoolest thing I've found on drupal, yet again. Thanks a lot guys and girls.

Mark EWERS commentedI'm working on a new site for a client. This site will have very few contrib modules by necessity because of the high degree of custom functionality they require. Most of the modules in the final launched version will be custom.
Tagging will be among the few contrib modules we'll use. It provides specific and critical functionality for the new site.
Keep up the great work
Thanks,
Mark
Comment #21
ñull commentedWe like the module and most likely will stay with it for our content tagging.
It's sad what happened to the other module and I understand it can upset you. Since this is all voluntary work for the community, things should be more negotiable. As usual, when projects, like Drupal, grow large and beyond cosiness, then institutionalism sets in and friendship and collaboration turn into formalism and individualism.
Wherever you move your project to, I am happy to contribute. I have done so in the past and will keep doing so, at the moment only for Drupal 6 as we did not migrate our site yet.
EugenMayer commentedthanks @null. The project moved to https://github.org/EugenMayer/taggin.
We will setup a own Project-Page for all those project were you can download the releases just as you used to do here. You get notified by your Drupal the same way, when there are new releases / critical releases - no special setup needed, its all build-in into drupal. http://drupal.org/project/fserver will just be the key to all that.
ñull commentedIt will be interesting to know what fserver does, but at the moment I will need to slowly move my project under git. In stead of an internal organisation project I want to open source it. I forked your tagging repo on Github and will from now on pull in the fixes and releases that way, without loosing my customisation to modules and core.
snitesh commentedcan anyone provide me the link from where i can download the module to have a look .. its really interesting and i want to try it ..
snitesh commentedcan you provide me the link from where i can download the module ..
please reply .. urgent !
AlanO commentedHere is the 7.x version of tagging hosted on github. If you need another branch you can use the select list next to "files" to choose which version you need.
https://github.com/EugenMayer/tagging/tree/7.x-3.x
Comment #27
thedotwriter commentedIf you want the Tagging module to be usable without the need to pre-save the page beforehand, here's the module you need :
https://github.com/thedotwriter/tagging-ajax-suggest
It supports D6 & D7 as well.
Need feedback ;)
Cheers
Comment #28
ñull commentedhttps://github.com/EugenMayer/tagging is gone! Where did it go?
EugenMayer commentedThe short answer is this : http://drupal.org/node/649270/revisions/1961296/view
We pledged to support and maintain all the repos on github, but the durpal.org admins did not allow this. Since wysiwyg_imageupload has been granted a new maintainer (who actaully simply hits the release button and will never ever care about anything), we went down the road as we expressed it.
We removed any public repo related to drupal from our github-account and are maintaing all those modules we ever have released privatly.
I guess, if the community decides to treat the authors of modules this way, basically the "we dont care about you, just give us your work, slave", i bet this will happen again and again.
@null: you can clone the code here on drupal.org, so the code is not gone, evnthough it is pretty outdated in the meantime.
