Plan on ez filter for Location Module?
Location module includes support for most countries and cities.

I never used location module. But I'm interesting in your idea. Let me try the module firstly.
And I think a filter for location module is not as same as a filter for terms in vocabulary, it's possiable fairly different. Maybe you have some ideas that can share with me?

Extensive work has been done in Locations for Country, City, Zipcode information. But, presently it is not possible to narrow listings with 1 or 2 level dropdown selections.
Locations module tables and include files have all the fields and data to allow for filtering; also there is a location views module (contrib) based on Views but filtering is only per 1 level dropdown selection.
I think the filtering concept for location should be fairly similar to taxonomy, if needed, may request changes in Locations to allow for filter implementation.
