aspilicious commentedI'm not convinced....
mcrittenden commentedI like it. They definitely do look a bit smoother, so why not.
dries commentedI agree that the buttons look a bit blurry, but the proposed buttons don't look 100% either -- try replacing shortcuts.png and you'll see that they get too much attention when they are white. In other words, not convinced yet.
reglogge commentedSlightly greyer version so the don't stand out as much. I love this!
jbrown commentedI don't know what you mean by jagged corners. The current shortcut.png has perfect antialiasing.
For the overlay, I like the current colours.
Without the overlay, I prefer the colours in your first shortcut.png. I like the contrast of colours between the icon and the title text and also with the bar that appears when hovering. Your antialiasing is not very good.
I was able to reduce the filesize by 31.79% with optipng.
The grey one is awful.

pfrenssenMy opinion (IANAD):
My suggestion is to use the original one for the overlay interface, and your #4 one for the standard interface.
gagarine commentedAnd a completely different button than don't look like a "closing" one?
Any way right on the right of the main title is a disturbing place for me (and my clients) and I'm already use a CSS display none...
Why not using a short text instead of an image?
Bojhan commentedThis is not Drupal 7 material, this is polishing a UI that is working fine already.
Bojhan commented#1164782: The icon to add something to shortcuts wasn't clearly discoverable. - Clearly I was wrong, heh. But lets continue this discussion in the overarching UX issue for this.
