Hello,
We are running Drupal 6 and the site is set up for French and English but currently I have a splash page that allows a visitor to select either english or french. Does anyone know if there is code out there that would (first time to site) prompt a vistitor which langauge they would like to "enter" in and then write (remember) that information in a cookie for the next time they visit the site ?
Meaning the next time they come to the site (via the cookie setting) they would be directed to the langauge they had previously choosen.
Bascially I want to get rid of the splash page, 1st time prompt the user for langauge of choice and remember it for the next time.
and of course if the cookie is deleted at some point in time they are once again prompted for the info.
Thank you
Neil

This would be very nice...
Sorry, I don't have a good solution, but I'm looking for one like the one you are seeking.
Presumably such a solution would extend or modify this?

From looking into a related issue, it appears as though Drupal 7 may have a way to set language based on a cookie.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
