Does anyone know if any of the spellchecking modules are actively being worked on for compatability for 4.7? I know none of them work right now...

I ask because I'm currently being faced with the decision as to whether I should "downgrade" to 4.6 over the fact that there is currently no spellchecking module for 4.7....

And I obviously don't want to "downgrade" if at all possible due to the fact that it's an extremely tedious process....

I didn't really want to go the TinyMCE route... Partly because if a user turns TinyMCE off (as I would, because I prefer not to use WYSIWYG editors) they now don't have a spellchecker. I also heard that the spellchecking module only works in IE... Can anyone confirm or refute this?

I did manage to get the AJAX Spellchecker working.... For about 24 hours... and now it's not working again. Grrr...

I had spellcheck working and it just died a few days ago as well. I think maybe the web service it uses went down.

In my case, it will work intermittantly... what's strange is it will work on the plugin developer's page just fine regardless of when... so I'm wondering if things on my server are configured strangely which is causing it to sometimes (usually) break.

You could use GoogieSpell:

Hmm... That's a thought. Thanks for the suggestion.
