Updated theme -- legal?

I've changed my theme a bit, and I think it is different from anyone else's Drupal blog. This is my own personal site. I would love feedback -- criticisms are welcome. I wonder, though, if this is legal, taking the theme from a famous word processor? Can I do this?

i use desktopbsd and openoffice has a writer, which has a ruler that looks same as your website...... to be honest i would not think its copyright because even ms word uses the same ruler....... ITS a ruler.

i dont see anything more than that.

That theme is good fun! It really tells me somethign about you, even before I read your blog. Exactly what a theme should do.

I love it. With the whole idea of Ajax being to make the web like a desktop, this is an even shorter route! :-)

I just wanted to comment. It is one of the most original designs I have seen in a long time.

I think a reccomendation that may be nice would be if you took the home and back images in the top left and actually made them work.

Every great artist, product, or Website has its detractors.

If you always get positive feedback, you haven't done anything interesting. I still think it is great fun. It's kitsch!

Although when you're working on a PhD, or other extremely difficult task, sometimes anything other than encouragement can be devastating. Not in the case of design, though. Criticism moves us forward. The same is often tru for science.
