I just installed the paging module onto a Drupal 4.7.2 development site which runs the flexinode module. Paging didn't work at all on flexinode nodes but worked fine on regular story nodes.

Not sure if flexinodes are supported or not, or whether there is any plan to support them, but it would be great to have.

flexinodes and cck nodes are not supported. I hope to add this functionality soon (btw, I am not the maintainer of paging, but have offered some contribution).
