I have an isse that my forum users are reporting, sorry I can't confirm it personally as I don't use Safari...

Whenever i paste stuff in (From a Mac and Safari browser), it gets inserted at the beginning of the text, not at the cursor.

I don't know if this is a drupal integration problem or an fckeditor problem?

It's a bug in CKEditor and not this Drupal module. Worked fine in FCKEditor however.

Is the older FCKEditor any good compared to ckeditor? Maybe I'll use that for a while. Thanks!

I have been using FCKEditor on Macs for several years at this point. It works alright -- should be fine for forum use, assuming there's only one FCKEditor edit field per page. Its default behavior in pasting from MS Word leaves something to be desired, but it seems to do as well as just about anything else that's readily available in Drupal.

I have noted some issues w/ Safari in the past w/ FCKEditor, but I believe they are mostly fixed.

It is quite a bit slower, though, FYI. Other similarly capable options aren't much if any faster, to my knowledge.

I will be trying this module this week w/ CKEditor 3.1 and will post back here if I can't make it work right in Safari.

I can confirm this happening in with 6x-1.0 and CKEditor 3.1 in Safari 4 on my Mac.

Does not occur in Chrome 4 on my Mac.

So this would seem to be down (yet again) to Apple weirdness.

Two questions:

1 - Have you created an issue at CKEditor site yet? If so, could you post a link in this thread?

2 - Can you think of a way to selectively disable CKEditor for Safari users?

Setting as won't fix because there is nothing we can do with that in CKEditor module.
