Hi I'm trying to display user pictures in comments using print $picture, but it doesn't seem to work if the user hasn't uploaded a picture, in other words it won't display the default picture.

Can anyone explain how I can do this?

I'm not sure I understand-- this is part of core. Set the default pic at admin/user/settings and turn on user pictures in comments at admin/build/themes/settings/global.

Thank you. I was just being stupid and didn't realize there is a setting to turn on pictures in comments; I thought it would work as default.
