Installed mailchimp module (no problem) - logged in signed up.

Installed UC Mailchimp module...enabled the module and I am getting this error. Any know why?? I been looking for 4 days now.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function user_access() in /home/MYSITE/modules/uc_mailchimp/uc_mailchimp.module on line 12
