The purpose of this thread is to take discussions and support questions away from the handbook, where pages get very cluttered very quickly with a few comments/questions/follow up ideas.

This is a discussion thread for a handbook page snippet for setting up 2 front pages for your site.

As an example, although it's considered bad design policy, you might want offsite visitors to see a full splash page/flash animation on a "primary front page" before reaching your "secondary front page".

Hi Dub,

Thanks for the article on how to set up two front pages. I am using Drupal 5.x though, and using your solution (which is only applicable for Drupal up to 4.7 as far as I can see) didnt work for me. Do you have any tips on how to get the "double front page" for Drupal 5.x?
