I need to rank recent posts higher than older posts. I felt the best way to do this was to add energy to a post during the node creation.

Attached patch seems to accomplish this. I must say that I'm amazed at how elegantly simple the API is. This was much easier to add than I expected!

It would be nice to add this patch to the radioactivity core, IMHO it's very useful!
