Hi,
A client of mine is running a marketing campaign that will display ads on someone elses site. The owner of this site asked for a tracking URL. Since we use Google Analytics, I simply used the Google Campagin builder tool to make this URL:
http://mydomain.com/mypage?utm_source=nick&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaig...
I tested the URL and now have data showing up in Google Analytics. However, the campaign report shows 0 visits. (Traffic Sources > Campaigns)
But, when I drill into the content section and tell it to show me a breakdown of pageviews by campaign, it correctly give me the number of page views. (Content > Page Content Detail > By Campaign [use drop down list to slice data])
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
Peace,
Brian

Brian294 commentedI managed to figure this one out. It appears Google Analytics first indexes the page views in their reports. Then, after SEVERAL hours, it goes through their index again to calculate the visitors. In other words, wait!
