Administer|Site Building|Data tables|Adopt tables sees my data table (previously imported into the MySQL db), reports its Status as Normal, and Edit accurately shows its structure. The Data Table Content page accurately reports the number of rows as 115, same as shown in PHPMyAdmin. But clicking "View" on this page throws a pink block, reproduced in full in the jpg attached, saying there's a SQL syntax error in Views\includes\view.inc on line 765. And, "There is no data in this table." The default View generated by Data, on Preview, throws the same pink block A custom View I built for test purposes shows the fields but no content. This occurs with both the 6.x..alpha9 and the 6.x..dev versions of Data and with all recent versions of Views and with both the official and the dev versions of Drupal 6.15.
What's driving me nuts is that I get a similar error using the Table Wizard module. The only module that handles this data without a glitch is Node_Import. I'm scheduled to give a talk to my local user group on data migration modules this Friday.
