How do i put special announcements on my homepage like the one on the demo http://www.signalkuppe.com/marinelli/

Once you goto that site you will see the text:

If you need theme customizations or a new drupal theme,
feel free to contact me using the contact form on
my blog (registration is required)

This text is inside a boarder which is what i would like to achieve, any ideas.

I am still quite new to Drupal so I am pretty sure it is easy enough to do, but would love some advice myself on this too.

I used a walk around for this issue. I wasn't using the leftsidebar block. I changed the css settings to make it appear uptop; changed its width, and voila.... it worked!

This issue is being closed because it is against a branch for a version of Drupal that is no longer supported.
If you feel that this issue is still valid, feel free to re-open and update it (and any possible patch) to work with the 7.x-4.x branch.
