This is really a non-issue, just a notification of an alternative. I recently wrote a module called Custom Formatters that allows you to create custom CCK formatters without the need to create a new module, and it can be created as either a standard PHP formatter or as HTML with tokens.

Feel free to close this if you wish, just thought I'd notify you as this is basically the reason why I wrote the module.
