Hello,

(In response to this same message, cms-quebec.com advised me Drupal)

I'm seeking a CMS that meet several requirements, these are ordered by importance :

MYSQL DB
Python not required
French complete localization
Powerful forums
Links directory
Downloads directory
Both with unlimited subcategories
New with categories, images, comments, RSS feed, and trackback !
Ability to add/edit/remove fields in the members profile.
Ability to choose a registration form depending on the membership type.
Pending registration (submit membership)
Various permissions
Powerful templating
Thought to work with thousands of members

That CMS will be hosted with other CMS specialized in weblogs, so it will be the core, a perfect portal.
Notes :
- That portal would need a single blog for the news, but I'm afraid trackback won't be available.
So best would be a Blog tool that meet the above requirements.
- these requirements could be met by plugins or modules, but not by hacks.

Thx by advance.

So the Question is :

Is Drupal the CMS that I need ?
(care to answer ?)

I think that Drupal has most of what you need. The registration process might not be the way you need it, though.

Err, ignore me. I can't delete my own comments.

Please I need to know which requirements are met and which are not.

In Drupal, you either have access to all content, or no content.

See this current discussion: http://drupal.org/node/view/1007

Aslo you can search on the word "private" and read the discussions on groups and other concepts that could be used for access control. So people are thinking about it, and some are even coding, but there is nothing in the immediate future.
